Professional pre-higher education Institutions of the sports profile prepare future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports. Specialized professional pre- higher education in sports involves mastering an educational program in a relevant sport in order to acquire a set of professional competencies, forming and developing the individual abilities of the student in a parallel with in-depth mastering the specialization in the chosen sport. The problem of organizing the educational process at the level of professional pre-higher education is actual for the sphere of physical culture and sports. The Aim of the Study is to designate the approaches to improve professional pre-higher education of the sports profile. Research Methods and Organization. To achieve the set goal, theoretical research methods were used: generalization of regulatory legal acts, analysis of available scientific and methodological sources, synthesis and induction. Research Results. The basis of the modern education system is the process of constant improvement of the general and professional competencies of students. The main key approach to improve the professional pre-higher education system is the competency-based approach, which involves the formation of professional competence, that is, a dynamic set of professional knowledge, skills and abilities that reflect theoretical, practical and methodological preparedness, as well as the ability to creatively implement them in various social situations of practical professional activity. Modern training of a sports specialist requires an increase in the level of practical orientation of training, which is implemented in the training process through the actualization of a professionally oriented approach. As part of the implementation of a personality-oriented approach, it is possible to focus the training process of a student of professional pre-higher education of the sports profile on the gradual increase in the level of sportsmanship and the success of performances in competitions. Conclusion. The main modern approaches to improve the professional pre-higher education of the sports profile are competency-based, professionally-oriented, and personally-oriented approaches.
