Relevance of the research topic. By means of recreational and wellness activities are fitness equipment, inventory, items, all physical exercise, games, relay races − all this is fun. The main purpose of recreational-wellness activities with the help of fitness equipment, objects and inventory is the organization of leisure activities in the interests of strengthening and maintaining health, not maximizing motor performance activities. It is the study of the history creation and distribution of simulators in recreational and recreational activities will allow to determine their features functioning for different population groups. The purpose of the study is to investigate history of origination recreational and fitness equipment. Research methods. To achieve the goal of the study used a historical approach. Within the historical approach it is active used a comparative historical method that included two types: comparative-typological method, and comparative-historical. Theoretical analysis and generalization of the literature was conducted for the purpose research historical aspects development of training facilities in recreational and wellness activities. Research results. The basics were identified during the study the origin of simulators in ancient times. The origin and mass are analyzed the spread of simulators in the second half of the nineteenth century. It is determined that the founder of modern recreational and fitness equipment activity became Swedish physician Gustav Wilhelm Zander (1835−1920), who made a real breakthrough in helping people with their health training devices. Conclusions. The invention of simulators has a historical character since the interest in a healthy and strong body has been around since ancient times. Particular attention is paid to recreational and fitness equipment with everyone in the afternoon, because more people want to be healthy and good. With the advent of new production technologies, materials, new developments in constructions, etc. you can achieve great success in the field of wellness people.
