Teachers' Readiness for Giving Extra-Curriculum Football Classes at Secondary Schools

Abstract

Аctuality. Efficiency of the extra-curriculum football class first of all depends on the level of readiness of the teacher for the management of this process. Determination of the physical culture teachers’ readiness level for giving the extra-curriculum football class will allow to define the directions of improvement in the training of teachers. Objective: to explore the state of educators’ readiness to conduct football group sessions in general education institutions. Methods or methodology: the analysis of professional, scientific, methodological literature, the materials of the Internet, and questionnaire survey were conducted. Results. The article analyzed and high-lighted the main components, and criteria of teachers' readiness for giving extra-curriculum football classes. On the results of the analysis of scientific, and methodical literature, biographical particulars of physical culture teachers of Sumy region the components, criteria of their indicators, and the levels of teachers' readiness to give extra-curriculum football classes to pupils were defined. Conclusions. The research of teacher’s readiness for giving extra-curriculum football class stated: 67 % of respondents had the constructive level of readiness for giving the extra-curriculum football class, 22,1% – productive, 6,2 % of teachers showed the reproductive level of readiness, and only 4,7 % of teachers demonstrated the adaptive level of readiness.
