Topicality. The financial crisis and the war in Ukraine led to a sharp fall in living standards. Therefore, the quality of life assessment of the population, especially working-age people, who are an important part of the state`s strategic planning and its reconstruction in the post-war period, deserve special attention. The Purpose of the Research. Analysis and systematization of existing theoretical and methodological approaches to the assessment of the quality of life that is used in international and domestic studies. Research Methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of electronic databases using the multi-dimensional concepts as Quality of Life (QOL) and Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL). Research Results. Analyzing the scholars` views within the „quality of life‟ concept, it was found that it changed depending on the place, time of information and the level of society development. HRQoL measures the quality of life aspects that directly affect human health, and is one of the key health care indices. HRQoL has been considered as an integrative human characteristic, which is based on the subjective perception of general satisfaction and includes physical, psychological and social well-being as well as allows people to realize their capacity in everyday life. Findings. The unity of research views according the “quality of life is a complex multidimensional category, and health is a significant component of its structure. By comparing and summarizing various research views on the quality of life, methods and approaches to its assessment, it can be argued that HRQOL complements traditional methods at the individual and group levels. A common general questionnaire for determining the quality of life is the SF-36, which allows for the assessment of all quality of life components, including health-related ones, and is not specific to age groups.
