The Structure of the Culture of Junior Pupils’ Movements

Abstract

The increasing role of physical education of children aimed at solving problems of improvement and harmonious development of the younger generation derives from modern life demands. Primary school age is the most favorable for the formation of the basis of the culture of movements, and in future it will continue to contribute to the comprehension of the activities and the actions will become unconscious. The structural analysis of the culture of junior pupils’ movements has been carried out in the article, and their components are characterized. The culture of movements of junior pupils is considered as an integrative quality of a person, which is expressed by the ability to control the harmonious, aesthetic, appropriate movements, which appear in their expressivity, plastics, rhythm, grace and depend on the psycho-physiological peculiarities of their age. The basis of the culture of junior pupils’ movements involves the complex of such components: motor, aesthetic and personal, each of them consists of sub-components. The motor component includes physical quality and coordination ability; the aesthetic component contains expressivity, artistry, plastics, and correct posture; the personal component comprises temperament, attention and memory. We consider that a child must be proficient in the basic movements, accumulate considerable potential of fundamental motor skills, and on this basis, he/she will be able to master easily the more complex movements and activities, including sports.
